A free booking widget for your own website — and what the paid version adds
· 2 min read
A real, working booking calendar you can put on your own site today, for the clients you already have. Free for one listing; paid tiers add more.
Most studio websites have a contact form, or a phone number, or — if it's a good site — a link out to somewhere else entirely to actually book. All three of those lose people. The booking widget exists to fix that: a real, working calendar, embedded directly on your own site, that takes an actual booking without anyone leaving the page.
What it is, concretely
It's an iframe you drop into your own website — Squarespace, Wix, a hand-built site, anywhere that accepts embed code — that shows your real, live availability and lets a visitor book directly. It's the exact same calendar and pricing SESH itself uses, not a simplified version. A slot that's booked disappears from the widget the moment it's booked, everywhere it appears, because it's reading the same underlying calendar as everything else.
Who it's actually for
This is the part worth being direct about: it's for the clients you already have, or the ones who find your own website some other way — a Google search for your studio's name, a link from Instagram, word of mouth. It is not primarily a discovery tool. If someone already knows you exist and wants to book you, the worst thing you can do is make them go somewhere else to do it. The widget's whole job is to remove that step.
What's free, and what isn't
Every host gets a widget for one listing at no cost — pick your main room, embed it, done. That's not a trial; it's the free tier, permanently.
Paid plans add more listings to the widget: Boost lets you embed any of your individual listings, one at a time — useful if you run more than one room and want a different widget on a different page. Premium and Top Shelf add a single "all my listings" catalog embed — one widget, your whole studio, if you'd rather send someone to one page that shows everything you've got.
None of that changes what the widget costs to use once it's live. A booking made through your own widget goes through the same 3% processing fee as any other SESH booking, taken from your side — the guest never sees an added fee, on your site or on SESH's.
Setting it up
From your Manager Dashboard's Widget tab, pick the listing (or, on Premium+, "All my listings"), copy the embed code, and paste it into your site's HTML or your website builder's embed block. There's nothing to configure beyond that — no separate calendar to keep in sync, because there isn't a separate calendar. It's reading the same one your Manager Dashboard shows you.
